Vivian Shi is Director of Insight at Wisdom Asia-Rising Sun Marketing & Research Consulting in Shanghai, China. She has extensive experience in the area of applied semiotics and cultural analysis, tracking cultural trends in China and analysing advertising, packaging and digital communications across a wide range of categories. Vivian combines her semiotic interests with direct day to day work with consumers.

Vladimir Djurovic

Vladimir founded Labbrand in 2005. He has assisted over 70 brands to understand the Chinese market, identify their positioning, and execute their strategy. For both foreign and domestic companies looking to build a strong brand in China and foreign markets, Vladimir provides actionable insights based on comprehensive brand models and systematic methodologies. Vladimir graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris as well as Shanghai Jiaotong University. He speaks fluent French, English, Mandarin, Russian and Serbian.

Dimitar Trendafilov

Dimitar has an MA in Business Administration and wrote his dissertation on brand positioning. He is now a PhD student at the New Bulgarian University (NBU) in Sofia, focusing on semiotic tools for research into markets, brands and cultural trend. After working in marketing with various companies Dimitar now teaches marketing and branding, working in the Socio-Semiotic Laboratory at NBU which studies brand awareness, positioning, commercial communication and local consumer behavior.
