She has extensive experience in the area of applied semiotics and cultural analysis, tracking cultural trends in China and analysing advertising, packaging and digital communications across a wide range of categories. Matthew Campanella is a bohemian, writer and educator and living in northern Italy. He recently settled down long enough to complete a Master's in Semiotics from the University of Tartu, specializing in tourism and the cognition of place. Matthew hopes to expand his academic interests into other fields, notably the Semiotics of genre fiction. He is currently a teacher in Udine.

Colette grew up in Brighton, UK, and started writing poetry, publishing Skinless with Eyewear Press, before branching out into short stories, web marketing, charity comms, a novel about an Eighteenth Century Mauritian feral child, and finally brand research. She was educated at Cambridge and UEA, where she studied English and Creative Writing, has spent a few months each in Bulgaria and Greece, and currently works at Nursery Research in London as a qualitative researcher for brand communications.
